Last night, the Prime Minister announced the positive news that there is no evidence of widespread Covid-19 community transmission, following recent cases in Auckland. As a result, alert levels dropped overnight – to Level 2 in Auckland and to Level 1 in the rest of the country.
The recent positive cases and alert level changes provide a timely reminder that we need to be ready for any escalations in the future. We will keep you updated with any further developments, and, in the meantime, you can find information on our helpful Covid-19 resources page, or contact us by freephone on 0508 656 757 if you need advice.
We welcome the arrival of the Covid-19 vaccine to New Zealand. The roll-out gets underway this weekend, prioritising vaccines for border workers and their household contacts in the first instance, to be followed by healthcare personnel and essential workers.
A reminder as we enter Level 1 to please turn on the Bluetooth functionality on your Covid Tracer App, and to scan QR codes wherever you go. Continue to remind staff and clients to scan in, practice good hygiene, and if you or your staff are sick, stay at home.
Working together, we can all make a difference and help protect our communities.
As always any feedback is welcome.
