Virginia webIn 2020 the operating environment for your business has changed rapidly and been more challenging than ever before – and this dynamic environment is likely to continue into the future.

The OSEA has had to adapt to support and meet the needs of our members through this challenging period, and we have engaged with our members more than ever before.  We recognise that we need to continue to adapt to meet our members’ needs into the future in a sustainable and agile way – and that business in the south needs a strong, unified voice to represent its unique interests and provide support.  

For this reason, the boards of OSEA and the Otago Chamber of Commerce are proposing a merger to create a single, unified membership entity that is well-placed to meet the needs of and deliver increased value to current and future members.  You can find out more about this here.  

We are hosting our second special general meeting for the proposed merger with OCC along with our annual meeting on 21 October at 4.30 pm in Dunedin.  We would like to see as many members along as possible, and you can enrol here.

We are seeing an increase in cyber attacks, and we have a free member briefing with Willis White on 14 October 2020, and you can find out more here.

We are hosting the Hon Grant Robertson, Minister of Finance along with the Otago Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, 8 October at 7.00 am at 16 McBride Street in Dunedin.  You can enrol for this event here.
