Virginia webWith Christmas fast-approaching, we have an update from our Solicitor Stu Adamson on public holidays and annual leave.

We would welcome your feedback on our annual member survey.  It is important for us to find out how we can better serve our members.  You will also go in the draw to win one of two OSEA $200 training vouchers.

It was great to welcome the Hon Grant Robertson the Minister of Finance who briefed our members in Invercargill on the economy and the wellness budget.  You can read more here.

We recently held our event ‘Enrich – Celebrating Women in Business’.  Jane Ludemann spoke about the ‘Cure Our Ovarian Cancer Foundation’ that she has established.  If you would like to donate to this very worthy cause, you can donate here.

Our congratulations to our members who were winners in the Westpac Southland Business Excellence Awards in Invercargill.  It was great to see Blue Sky Meats take out the Supreme Award.  Other members who won awards include Blue River Dairy, EIS, NZ’s Aluminium Smelter and Paul Adams from Stabicraft who took out the Business Personality Award.  You can read more here.

Ryan Jennings from Buy NZ Made is releasing a new book called ‘The Kiwi Branding Edge’ which features businesses who are using the Kiwi trademark to create an edge.  You can purchase a book here.

We would like to welcome you to our Annual General Meeting which is on Wednesday, 30 October from 4.30 pm – 6.00 pm, at 16 McBride Street, Dunedin.  Come along and hear from Richard Roberts, the CEO at Dunedin Airport.  Richard is updating us on the Dunedin Airport terminal expansion project.
